ICING.CA has landed!

Yes that is right we have been supplying promotional staffing since 2007 but with the new re-vamp of our website we are ready to kick it up a notch!  What a great three and a half years it has been.  The Icing Marketing Corporation launched in November of 2007 with the Toronto Grey Cup as our first big client.  We supplied the promotional staff for the entire event and a huge highlight was having all of the girls on the field for the halftime show with Lenny Kravitz.  From there it has been a non-stop whirlwind and I still wake up excited every day to see what we have in store.  We have now expanded all over Canada with a quality roster of great staff in all different parts of the country.  Our client list has also grown with the likes of Canadian Tire, Victoria Secret, ProLine, OLG, The Calgary Flames, Nivea, MolsonCoors and the list goes on!  I can definitely attribute our success to our wonderful roster of staff as they are always caught wearing a smile, knowing their stuff and meeting and exceeding the expectations of clients.  My greatest challenge to date has been building a fantastic roster because the strength of promotions is in the people, but now that I can check that off my list Icing is definitely ready to make even more of an impact.

I look back over the last few years and I can’t help but smile.  I left behind a job working at Country Music Television to start something of my own.  I left behind great people, access to the stars and a whole lot of travelling, but I took a leap of faith and invested my love of entertainment, dance and events into something that I can proudly call my own.  Many people always ask me, how did you get into promotional staffing and how did you come up with Icing? … and my simple answer is …Icing found me.  My whole life path has led me to what I am doing now as dancing in-front of 18,000 fans at the Toronto Rock games, being in-front of the camera on national television, hosting the audience for the CBC hit The Red Green Show and working with so many different people along the way, have all prepared me for the world of promotions and events.  You can plan and plot what an event is going to turn out like, sort of like baking a cake, but when the weather doesn’t cooperate or the cake batter doesn’t rise, you just cover it with Icing and the top coat is what people see.  Icing caps off your event flawlessly and if you have all of the right ingredients to make your event a success, a little icing just sweetens the deal.

In this blog I look forward to sharing stories with you of events we have worked on and behind the scenes glimpses of what goes on.  I also encourage you to add us on Twitter and facebook so you can see what we are up to and where our teams are.  Search icing.ca.

Take some time to get to know us… after all we caught you looking!
