2011 was definitely a year filled with new clients, new promotions and new faces on the roster. This year clients took things to a whole a new level, introducing more promotions using the ipad, QR codes and the list goes on. Not that we are that old, we only celebrated our fourth anniversary this November, but things sure are changing in the world of technology, and we are thrilled to be a part of it.
When Icing first hit the streets in November of 2007 at the Grey Cup in Toronto we boasted a wonderful roster of friendly faces and promotional tools, but now, four short years later, we have expanded to incorporate the growing needs of our clients and helped them reach a whole new audience with the world of social media!
Some of our big cross-Canada promotions this year included the launch of new Victoria’s Secret stores, sampling of the new to Canada Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey and a wonderfully rewarding H&M gift giving campaign that had twitter followers receiving clues and then finding our staffers in locations all across the country to receive a free gift!
We also welcomed many new faces to the Icing roster this year and once again I say that this is the hardest part of my job! For there are hundreds of good looking people out there but we only accept top notch, icing on the cake, and that is just what we added. It is always nice to attend an event or promotion and realize that after every detail is cleverly outlined and planned, that it all comes down to the people and that is where our strength lies.
